Nisela Safaris Hotel Big Bend
Nisela Safaris & Reptiles is primarily a nature reserve with a variety of antelope and other animals. It is small but intimate. Pet animals include 'Barry' the crocodile, 'Lucky' and 'Mkhulu' - two hand-reared lions, 'Survivor' the chicken and his extended family and a flock of tame guinea fowls. A unique reptile park, the only one in Swaziland, and one of the best in Southern Africa, provides snake identification and handling tips and courses and allows guests to hold and touch certain snakes.
There is a 'Golden Orb' spider hotel at the Nisela entrance, which is one of its kind in Swaziland.
Lucky, Mkhulu and Barry are fed on Sunday afternoons at mid-day, which offers great photographic opportunities.
Accommodation is offered in traditional Swazi Beehive Huts, Reed Cabins with a thatched roof sleeping four persons and modern Rondavels with a mezzanine floor sleeping four persons.
